Weight Training: The Best Workout For Fat Loss?

A lot of people ask me what the best exercise is for losing fat, and the answer they expect to hear from me is “aerobics”.

But guess what? It’s not what I’d say!

See, what happens when you do weight training is this.

You build muscle, which raises your metabolism, which means you burn fat all day long, even when you’re not exercising. Aerobics on the other hand does not promote much muscle gain at all, and as a result the “after burn” is shorter and less effective.

Your growth hormone will be on your side.

What do I mean? Your body produces growth hormone when you do weights, which means that you’ll lose fat, as growth hormone makes you gain muslce and lose fat.
And another benefit, as your growth hormone remains high, you’ll feel and look younger than if your levels are low.

This has been shown in medical studies of weight training for 6 to 8 week period in men and women in their 70s, and showed that they felt 15, and even 20 years younger again.

And for women, don’t worry about getting big bulky arms, because you won’t. Levels of testosterone in women won’t rise high enough to do that!

Let me put it this way.

For me I used to do 7-8 hours of aerobic exercises a week and got little results.

When I did weights for 3 hours a week, I got more than double (twice) the results.

An effective workout means the difference between getting results in only 3-4 weeks as opposed to getting the same results in 3-4 months.
